The Sassoon STRETCH SS08 collection heralds the comeback of the vibrant Supermodels who graced our catwalks and magazine covers in the 80s. A celebration of sensual curves and vibrant colour – this is statement hair. The Sassoon Creative Team took their inspiration from the iconic, Amazonian stars of the modeling heyday.

We see the stunning supermodel return to her rightful place on the catwalk; with lustrous hair, glowing skin and lithe physique as captured in the compelling images of fashion photographers Peter Lindbergh, Herb Ritts and Bruce Weber. Supple bodies flaunt sharp, head-hugging layered haircuts with audaciously bold fringes. A modern interpretation of the emphatic individuality of the supermodel - sleek boyish cuts, vibrant red bobs and razor-sharp layers. The result - a fresh vibrant alternative to today’s fragile waif.

The dramatic new collection is achieved using sophisticated new techniques. The new Sassoon cutting technique, GeoFlex, draws clean cut geometric lines to create statement cuts and dynamic shapes. “Everything around the face is open, energetic and confident - and shaped to perfection around the face. Beautiful women don’t need to hide behind a curtain of hair.’ comments Mark Hayes, Sassoon’s International Creative Director. Cuts are tailored to bring out the intrinsic beauty of the individual, accentuating bone structure and facial features.

The perfect counterfoil to GeoFlex cutting, the new GeoTone colour technique evokes the vibrant luxury of precious stones and minerals. Peter Dawson, Sassoon’s European Colour Director, sees the fiery tones of volcanic cinnabar as ‘a key colour this season. The vibrant combination of orange and red enhances the movement and depth of the hair.” Unique seasonal colours for the STRETCH collection are vibrant and powerful; perfectly complementing the cut.

Three hero products support the Sassoon STRETCH collection. Sassoon Professional Precision Clean is a clear, honey like shampoo that gently cleans without weighing hair down. With a purified Cashmeratex formula containing Micro Kinetics, hair is given shiny, natural movement that will enhance the Sassoon shaping. Sassoon Professional Advanced Condition is a sophisticated formula that leaves hair conditioned, tangle free and full of shine.

Containing weight free hydrators to seal in moisture without adding heaviness, hair is sensuous and vibrant with health and radiance.
